MuksuMenot is a discovery and comparison service that helps families find children's activities. We do not provide, run, supervise or endorse the activities listed.

We gather information from providers and public sources and present it to help you. This information may be incomplete, out of date, or contain errors — particularly during our alpha phase.

Before you rely on anything

• Always confirm directly with the provider: dates and times, price, age suitability, group size, supervision, staff qualifications, safeguarding and insurance.
• You are responsible for checking that an activity is safe and suitable for your child. Decisions about your child's participation are yours alone.

Our liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MuksuMenot and its operators accept no liability for any loss, damage, injury or harm arising from your use of the service, from reliance on information shown, or from any activity or provider you find through us.

Nothing in this disclaimer limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or your mandatory rights as a consumer under Finnish and EU law.

1. Who we are

2. What we collect

• Account data — your name, email address, and password (stored securely and hashed in production).
• Information you give us — your child's age range and interests, your area, preferences and saved activities. Please don't enter your child's full name or any sensitive details — we don't need them.
• Provider data — contact and listing details supplied by activity providers.
• Usage & technical data — pages viewed, actions taken, device and browser type, IP address and similar log data.
• Cookies — essential cookies to run the service; any analytics cookies only with your consent.

3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We process personal data under Article 6 of the GDPR on these bases:

• To provide and secure the service and your account — performance of a contract.
• To match and recommend activities — your consent and our legitimate interest in providing a useful service.
• To improve the alpha and fix problems — legitimate interests.
• For optional analytics and updates — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

4. Children's data

MuksuMenot is intended for parents and guardians aged 18 or over, not for children. Please don't create accounts for children, and share the minimum about your child — an age range and interests are enough.

In Finland a child may consent to information-society services from age 13; below that, a guardian must consent (Article 8 GDPR; this age varies between 13 and 16 across EU and Nordic countries). We design the service to minimise children's data.

5. Who we share it with

• Providers — when you choose to request a spot or contact them, we share only what's needed to make that introduction.
• Service providers (processors) — e.g. hosting and infrastructure ([Vercel]) and [analytics provider], acting on our instructions under data-processing agreements.
• Legal — where we're required to by law.

We do not sell your personal data.

6. International transfers

We aim to keep your data within the EU/EEA. Where a processor transfers data outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or anonymise it. Alpha data may be deleted at the end of the test phase.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to access your data, correct it, erase it, restrict or object to its processing, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, contact [privacy@muksumenot.fi]. We'll respond within one month.

9. Complaints

You can complain to your local data protection authority. In Finland this is the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi). Other Nordic authorities include Datatilsynet (Norway and Denmark), Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (Sweden) and Persónuvernd (Iceland).

10. Security & changes

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, though no system is perfectly secure. We'll update this policy as the product develops and post the new date above.
